Community Calendar Guidelines

Community Calendar Purpose

The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce Community Calendar is an interactive, web-based program that enables Chamber partners to post community events of broad interest to the community.

Community Calendar Criteria

The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to decline event submissions.  Generally, the Chamber will be guided in its decision by the following criteria:

  1. Must be a Chamber partner hosted event (not a non-partner event sponsored by a Chamber partner)
  2. Event information must include:
    • Who is hosting
    • Date, time and location
    • Who to contact for more information/link to additional information
  3. Community and special events only, regular or on-going events or classes will not be approved
  4. Partners may post up to three events per year at no cost
  5. Events should be submitted no less than 10 business days prior to the date of the event to allow time for review. Events will be posted within 24 business hours
  6. Events must be open to the public, no “invite only” events
  7. Entries must be accurate upon submission
  8. The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to edit event information for length, spelling, language and clarity
  9. The Community Calendar may not be used to promote political or commercial events
