South Central Kentucky offers many choices for excellence in education, with several public school systems and private schools that offer many K–12 educational options for parents. In addition, Bowling Green is home to Western
Kentucky University, Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College and Daymar College.

HIGHER EDUCATION

Western Kentucky University

WKU’s undergraduate division provides four-year programs leading to a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of General Studies, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Music. WKU offers 88 academic majors and 57 academic minors. In addition, 18 associate's degree programs leading to Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science or Associate of General Studies degrees are offered. Graduate studies offer a Master of Arts, Master of Arts in Education, Master of Business Administration, Master of Science, Master of Music, Master of Public Service, Master of Public Administration and a Doctorate of Educational Leadership.

Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College

The college offers associate's degrees, diplomas and certificates in more than 30 programs in the areas of allied health, applied technology, business and engineering and information technology. SKYCTC houses the Adult Education Center in Bowling Green for GED test preparation, family literacy programs and English as a Second Language. The college also offers business and industry training on-site at area businesses and at SKYCTC campus locations.

Daymar College

Daymar College includes a campus in Bowling Green and in Nashville, Tenn., Clarksville, Tenn., and Murfreesboro, Tenn. The campus offers small class sizes and many career training programs.
