The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce today opened applications for the 2014 Leadership South Central Kentucky class. Leadership South Central Kentucky develops and educates current, promising, and future leaders throughout our 10-county region. The program facilitates communication and lifelong, peer-to-peer networking among leaders within our regional community to foster region-wide economic development and community progress by serving as a catalyst for problem solving and collaboration.
Leadership South Central Kentucky sessions will include highly-interactive, nationally-recognized leadership development methodologies used by top-performing companies and organizations:
· Professional consultants with Franklin Covey are contracted for focused sessions on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
· Simulated Society programming will role play class participants to navigate their way through labor-management relations, political turmoil and natural disasters while challenged by real world issues of economic inequality, justice, diversity, trust, power dynamics, and leadership.
· DISC assessments will engage participants to target strategies and insights for interpersonal success through effective communication, understanding, and tolerance, thus reducing conflict and stress.
· Mock exercises will provide participants with hands-on experience of how economic development projects work from the inside-out, revealing the strengths and opportunities of your community as outside investors see them.
Leadership South Central Kentucky works hand-in-hand with Leadership Bowling Green and with other community's leadership programs. We're equipping our businesses and communities with nationally-proven tools and focusing on innovative solutions to regional opportunities, along with the team-building and peer-networking benefits that have made Leadership Bowling Green popular for more than 25 years.
