Bowling Green, Ky. (September 29, 2016) – Today, Tri-Arrows Aluminum, Inc. along with community leaders and the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of their downtown Bowling Green headquarters with a ribbon cutting celebration. Tri-Arrows’ headquarters will be a satellite office for the region allowing better access and service to joint venture corporations Logan Aluminum, Inc. in Russellville and Constellium-UACJ in Bowling Green.
“We are excited about the opportunity an office in Bowling Green will bring to our work in the region. It is a great location that will allow us to easily work in Russellville and Bowling Green. We look forward to a bright future in South Central Kentucky,” said Tri-Arrows Aluminum President Henry Gordinier.
Formerly ARCO Aluminum, Tri-Arrows was established in 2011 and is headquartered in Louisville, KY. Tri-Arrows has long been an innovative leader in supply and marketing of rolled aluminum can sheet to the North American container industry with annual production exceeding 325 thousand tons. Tri-Arrows is a subsidiary of the UACJ Corporation, a Japanese company and majority shareholder, with additional ownership by Sumitomo Corporation and Itochu.
Tri-Arrows manufactures its base aluminum coils at Logan Aluminum; South Central Kentucky’s third largest manufacturing employer with more than 1,000 full time employees. Together, Tri-Arrows and UACJ have an annual capacity for rolled sheet products exceeding one million tons, making them the largest such manufacturer in Japan and third largest in the world.
“Warren County is proud to be home to Tri-Arrows’ first satellite headquarters office,” said Warren County Judge-Executive Mike Buchanon. “Tri-Arrows’ presence in South Central Kentucky is important to both the future of our economy and to our people employed by Constellium-UACJ and Logan Aluminum.”
“We welcome Tri-Arrows to Bowling Green and are excited about the wonderful addition to our downtown,” said Bowling Green Mayor Bruce Wilkerson. “We look forward to their growth and success in our community.”
Tri-Arrows’ Bowling Green headquarters has the potential to bring up to 10 new jobs to downtown Bowling Green including customer service specialists, executive/management and engineering positions.
“It isn’t every day that Bowling Green is able to celebrate the location of a headquarters operation and the Chamber is happy to welcome Tri-Arrows to downtown,” said Chamber President and CEO, Ron Bunch. “Through their work with joint venture companies Constellium-UACJ at the Kentucky Transpark and Logan Aluminum in Russellville, Tri-Arrows has been, and will continue to be, a very important part of the South Central Kentucky economy.”
“The Chamber’s work within the community recently resulted in the development of a community-wide engaged strategic plan. This plan focuses on the development of downtown Bowling Green and niche economic development opportunities,” Bunch went on to say. “We are excited that Tri-Arrows Aluminum is officially part of the future of downtown Bowling Green.”
Tri-Arrows’ decision to locate in downtown Bowling Green was largely based on the walkability of the community and amenities available throughout the downtown business district.
Including this announcement, the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce has announced nine projects totaling $432.2 million in capital investment and 514 new jobs in South Central Kentucky for 2016.
