Ribbon cuttings and groundbreakings are important to your business - and it is important to the Chamber that we help our partners with these important events such as grand openings, relocations and significant anniversaries, provided they meet our specified guidelines.
As a Chamber partner, you receive the following ceremony benefits:

• The Chamber conducts ribbon cutting and groundbreaking ceremonies at no cost to our partners.
• Invitations are sent to more than 900 Chamber representatives Attendance may range from 25-150.
• Chamber staff provides support in the planning stages with time-and-date coordination and agenda preparation. The more notice the better for proper advertisement and notification to our partnership.
• Ceremony pictures will be published in the following month's Chamber Connection newsletter (hard copy and electronic), reaching more than 3,000 Chamber representatives.

On the day of the celebration, we bring the big scissors and ribbon, or in the event of a groundbreaking, we bring the shovels (including the three-handle shovel) for the "official" dig. If you would like to incorporate an open house or something else with your celebration, we will be happy to publicize that information in our e-mail advertisement as well!

The Chamber will notify the partnership of your event through the Chamber Weekly E-News newsletter, reaching more than 900 Chamber representatives the Monday prior to your event.

Celebration Guidelines

The Chamber is always pleased to celebrate grand openings, relocations and significant anniversaries with ribbon cuttings/groundbreakings. Please contact Partnership Development Assistant Melinda Rector when your business/organization needs assistance with one of these events.
For Chamber partners who are celebrating with an open house/news conference/special presentation for a special event or milestone, the Chamber will be notifying the partnership of your event through email. The guidelines follow to participate:

• Information must be emailed to the Chamber two weeks in advance of the event and must not conflict with another Chamber event.
• E-mailed information should be no more than three sentences and include the date, time, location and purpose for celebration within the email.
  • Use the subject line "Chamber Partner Celebration" and include event date in the subject line as well...
• Events submitted will be included once in the Weekly E-news sent out by the Chamber on the Monday of the week of activities.

* President's Club Gold, Platinum and Diamond Star partners may request special community event celebrations with Chamber staff support.
