Bowling Green, Ky., Sept. 29, 2022 – Element Materials Technology (Element), a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) services, celebrated the grand opening of its transportation laboratory in Bowling Green, Kentucky today. This 16,000 sq. ft. testing facility allows Element to serve the General Motors Corvette Assembly Plant, an over $5M investment that created 16 new jobs in the community.
“Element is proud to continue our long-standing relationship with General Motors. Our new test facility in Bowling Green is custom built to test high-performance engines such as the Corvette Z06,” said Adam Tocco, Director of Mobility.
Element has one of the largest and most complete sets of product qualification testing capabilities and services in the world. Its 7,000+ scientists, engineers, and technologists, based across a global network of more than 200 laboratories in 30 countries, ensures products are safe and sustainable. Element’s Bowling Green facility is a specialized engine testing center that was custom designed to serve General Motors in the testing of its Corvette engines.

Element is providing more than just product testing. Its commitment to excellence ensures that the cars coming out of the General Motors Corvette Assembly Plant uphold their reputation and continue to be the world-class vehicles we all know and love,” said Judge-Executive Mike Buchanon.
