
Bowling Green-Warren County Community Education is celebrating its 50th anniversary, a testament to an enduring commitment to learning and community empowerment. Community Education has strengthened the fabric of the region by fostering connections through education and collaborative programs since 1973. Its vision is to lead by enhancing the quality of life.
Community Education operates programs and initiatives designed to address the needs of the area residents. These include before-school, after-school, and all-day programs whenever school is not in session; enrichment classes for community members of all ages; the Teen Angel Christmas assistance project; training and recognition for volunteers; and events such as Stand for Children Day, Blockbusters at the Ballpark, and the Summer Activities Fair.
Bowling Green-Warren County Community Education is a member of the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce, the Kentucky Nonprofit Network, and Vision, a multi-agency council in Warren County.
Community Education is recognized by education, business, nonprofit, and governmental leaders as an essential ally in making Warren County the best place in Kentucky to live, learn, work, and raise a family. It is governed by a board of directors including representation from Warren County’s judge-executive, Warren County Fiscal Court, both local school districts, the Community Education Advisory Council, and at-large members from the community.
With continued involvement from community stakeholders, Community Education looks forward to continuing its legacy of learning, growth, and enrichment for the next 50 years. Continued involvement from community stakeholders will sustain the effort to shape a brighter future for all.

Dr. Dana Cosby is the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs and Outreach for the Gordon Ford College of Business.
In addition to her Ph. D., Dr. Cosby holds the designations of SHRM-SCP, SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources designations through the national Society for Human Resource Management), GPHR (Global Professional in Human Resources) and CCP (Certified Compensation Professional – designation earned through the national World at Work organization). Her experience includes leadership roles in both private and public sectors. She held executive roles with a billion dollar multi-national organization with oversight for a several corporate functions, including strategic planning, change management, risk management, compensation and benefits, training and organizational development, employee communications, and governmental affairs. She has consulted with organizations in Japan, Mexico, Canada, Russia, South Korea, Austria, France and Germany. Her consulting practice includes compensation, human resources system alignment, and human resource development.
Dr. Cosby is a board of directors for the Southern Kentucky and Midsouth chapters of the Society for Human Resource Management. She is also a graduate of 2001 Leadership Bowling Green and has served on a number of non-profit boards, including United Way of South-Central Kentucky, Barren River Child Advocacy Center, the International Center, the Warren County-Bowling Green International Festival, and Plum Tree Montessori School. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Arts of Southern Kentucky, formerly know as SKYPAC.
