On March 14, 2025, Bowling Green Young Professionals (BGYP) hosted another engaging Lunch + Learn, tackling one of today’s biggest workplace challenges—bridging the divide between six generations working side by side. With a packed room at the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce, attendees explored how different communication styles and workplace expectations can either create friction or fuel innovation.

The event kicked off with networking and a delicious lunch, thanks to Murphy Construction Group, followed by opening remarks from Heath Holloman, 2025 BGYP Co-Chair. The featured speaker, Blair Jenson, delivered an insightful presentation, breaking down the key differences and strengths of each generation and offering practical strategies for professionals to connect and collaborate more effectively.

Following the keynote, attendees got a firsthand look at generational dynamics in action with a special segment featuring Julie Milam, General Manager at WNKY, and Ashlee Quinn, WNKY News 40 Anchor. They shared real-life experiences from the fast-paced media world, illustrating how different perspectives, work habits, and communication preferences shape the workplace. Their candid and entertaining conversation brought the topic to life, leaving attendees with fresh insights and actionable takeaways.

Before wrapping up, Heath announced two exciting upcoming events. On April 17, BGYP will host Coffee & Convos at The Hub, featuring David Chandler, Owner of Chandler Real Estate, Inc., and Amy Hale Chandler, Warren County Attorney. This power couple will share their career journeys and impact on the Bowling Green community in their first-ever joint speaking engagement. With limited space, early registration is encouraged. Then, on June 6, BGYP members can look forward to the Members-Only Signature Social, one of the year’s biggest networking events.

The Lunch + Learn concluded with music, conversation, and plenty of connections made. Whether you're a Gen Z professional just starting out or a seasoned leader looking to bridge workplace gaps, Bowling Green Young Professionals continues to create spaces where professionals can learn, grow, and belong. If you're not yet a member, now’s the time to join and take advantage of these can’t-miss opportunities!
