On April 3, the SCK LAUNCH Student Ambassadors ended their year of leadership training—provided by the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce—with a powerful day of community service. Representing BGHS, GHS, SWHS, WCHS, and WEHS, these future leaders stepped into action to give back to the organizations that support our region every day.

The morning began at the Family Enrichment Center, where students gathered in small groups and received their nonprofit service assignments. From there, they set out to volunteer at locations including St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, SOKY Patriots, Hope House, Salvation Army, and the Family Enrichment Center. Whether sorting food donations, organizing supplies, or assisting with warehouse operations, students demonstrated teamwork, empathy, and a commitment to service.

After a morning of hard work, the students regrouped at the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce for an afternoon of reflection and recognition. John Mark Francis, Assistant Vice President for Marketing & Brand Strategy, challenged students to continue stepping into leadership roles beyond high school.

The day wrapped up with an engaging reflection led by Travis Keller, who helped students explore the importance of making meaningful connections—with each other, with their community, and with the paths they’re creating for the future.
A heartfelt thank you to our nonprofit partners and community leaders for investing in the next generation. Through leadership and service, these Student Ambassadors are shaping a stronger tomorrow for South Central Kentucky.
