
BOWLING GREEN, KY. – September 19, 2025 - Ron Bunch, President and CEO of the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce, has been inducted into the Southern Economic Development Hall of Fame, Volume 2, published by Southern Business & Development. The Hall of Fame recognizes individuals across the South who have demonstrated lasting success in attracting investment, creating jobs, and building stronger communities. Ron’s induction highlights not only his career accomplishments but also the significant impact he has made in shaping Bowling Green and Warren County’s economic future.
Under his leadership, Bowling Green has consistently been recognized as one of the top-performing communities in the nation for economic development. Bowling Green continues to gain national recognition, ranked the #1 Tier 2 Metro in the United States for both 2024 and 2023 and among the Top 6 Tier 2 Metros for 13 consecutive years, according to Site Selection Magazine. The Chamber has also earned the prestigious Mac Conway Award, recognizing it as one of the Top 20 Economic Development Organizations in the country for the fourth time in five years.
The Chamber has helped attract major projects, supported existing industries, and cultivated an environment where businesses can thrive. This recognition also underscores Ron’s ability to deliver results in diverse regions, as noted by Southern Business & Development, which cited his work in Kentucky as well as Virginia, South Carolina, and Florida.
