On September 19th, Bowling Green Young Professionals hosted Tough Conversations Made Easy with guest speaker Karen Butcher, a leadership development coach known for her practical and empowering approach to communication.
Butcher led attendees through strategies to handle difficult discussions with clarity, confidence, and professionalism. She emphasized that avoiding tough conversations often creates bigger challenges in the workplace, while addressing them with empathy and respect can strengthen relationships and build trust. Attendees learned techniques for active listening, framing feedback constructively, and preparing for emotionally charged interactions.
The session gave young professionals tools they could immediately put into practice—whether managing teams, collaborating with peers, or navigating career growth. The event also provided a chance for members to share personal experiences and learn from one another, fostering both professional development and meaningful connections within the BGYP community.
