Bowling Green, KY — November 4, 2025 — Today, the President & CEO of the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce, Ron Bunch, resigned.


Over the past fourteen years, Mr. Bunch’s leadership has strengthened the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce and driven progress across our region. His focus on collaboration, investment, and opportunity has helped make Bowling Green a recognized example of sustainable economic growth.


During his tenure, there have been significant successes, primarily through regional economic development. Key accomplishments include attracting billions in capital investment, creating thousands of jobs, and earning national recognition as a top-performing economic development organization. As a direct result of Mr. Bunch’s efforts, Bowling Green continues to gain national recognition, ranked the #1 Tier 2 Metro in the United States for both 2024 and 2023 and among the Top 6 Tier 2 Metros for 13 consecutive years, according to Site Selection Magazine. The Chamber has also earned the prestigious Mac Conway Award, recognizing it as one of the Top 20 Economic Development Organizations in the country for the fourth time in five years.

The chamber has begun the process of appointing interim leadership and will share further updates in the coming weeks. As always, the organization remains tightly focused on our mission to provide valuable services to our partners, advocate a positive business environment and stimulate economic development for South Central Kentucky.
