The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes Julie Milam as Executive Vice President of Partnership Services. A longtime community leader, former WNKY-TV General Manager, small business owner, and ATHENA Award recipient, Milam brings decades of experience championing local business and regional growth. In her new role, she will focus on strengthening partner relationships and supporting business success across South Central Kentucky.

Across November through January, students took part in career shadowing experiences at local businesses, exploring real-world careers across South Central Kentucky’s growing industries. From early childhood education and digital media to healthcare, electrical, and water recovery, students toured facilities, met professionals, and learned what it takes to succeed in each field.

Leadership Bowling Green participants stepped out of the classroom and into the spaces shaping education and workforce development across South Central Kentucky during Education Day on January 14, 2026. From early childhood learning to K–12 systems, higher education, and future-focused workforce initiatives, the immersive day highlighted how collaboration across education and industry creates opportunity for students and communities. Through site visits, conversations, and behind-the-scenes experiences, participants gained valuable insight into the partnerships driving long-term impact and regional growth.

Leadership Bowling Green participants spent Health & Human Services Day immersed in the people, programs, and partnerships that strengthen care and wellbeing across our community. Through site visits, engaging conversations, and hands-on wellness experiences, the class gained meaningful insight into the collaborative efforts supporting individuals and families throughout the region. From innovative workforce models to the future of healthcare education, the day highlighted the power of compassion, connection, and leadership in building a healthier Bowling Green.
